At the festival, General Secretary To Lam, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man, along with other delegates, officials, and residents of Quan Thanh Ward, reflected on the 94-year tradition of the Vietnam Fatherland Front. They received a report on the state of national unity and the outcomes of campaigns and patriotic emulation movements in 2024 within the locality.
Joining hands to implement urban civilization criteria
The report presented at the festival revealed that in 2024, the Party Committee, government, Fatherland Front, mass organizations, and people of Quan Thanh Ward successfully fulfilled their assigned economic targets. To date, the estimated state budget revenue has reached over VND 24 billion (US$ 946 thousand), exceeding the assigned plan by 215%. The entire political system and people of the ward have made concerted efforts, organizing meaningful activities and building skillful mass mobilization models with practical content. Together, they have worked towards achieving the urban civilization criteria set by the ward's Party Committee and government.
The Ward Fatherland Front Committee has taken the lead in coordinating with other socio-political organizations to implement five creative solidarity projects to celebrate major events of the capital and the country, including the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory, the 70th anniversary of Hanoi's Liberation, and the upcoming congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels for the 2024-2029 term.
Over the past year, the Fatherland Front Committee, in collaboration with the Party Committee, government, and member organizations, has organized activities to care for and provide gifts to 402 policy families, the elderly, children, disadvantaged families, and social beneficiaries, with a total value of VND 217 million (US$ 8,560).
Especially during the historic Yagi storm, the people in the ward actively joined hands with the ward's Party Committee and government to overcome the damages caused by the storm. This included participating in the city-wide environmental cleanup campaign, donating over VND300 million (US$ 11,834) to support storm victims, and providing gifts to 30 affected families.
For these outstanding achievements, Quan Thanh Ward has been honored by the President with the Second-class Labor Order.
All policies of the Party and State focus on the people
The General Secretary emphasized that the strength of national unity is one of the most powerful and important resources for our entire Party, people, and army to overcome all difficulties and challenges, successfully carry out the cause of renewal and develop our country, particularly in building a peaceful, civilized, and modern capital.

The General Secretary encourages every citizen to practice thrift and combat waste, and to actively participate in monitoring and reporting waste to the authorities for handling.
The local residents are encouraged to carry on the proud revolutionary tradition, preserve the rich cultural heritage, and strengthen national unity. Together with the Party Committee and local government, they are determined to build Quan Thanh Ward and all other wards in Ba Dinh District and Hanoi into prosperous, civilized, and modern areas, befitting the heroic capital.
On this occasion, General Secretary To Lam presented gifts to 15 former soldiers who participated in the liberation of the capital and the Dien Bien Phu campaign, and 16 Party members with over 70 years of Party membership. National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man presented gifts to Quan Thanh Ward and 22 couples who have been happily married for over 50 years and are exemplary families. Head of the Central Inspection Commission Tran Cam Tu, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh, and Hanoi Party Secretary Bui Thi Minh Hoai also presented gifts to outstanding individuals in the area. |
