Assc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Lan Hieu, Deputy Director of the Heart Centre of the Hanoi Medical University Hospital, said that doctors from the Bach Mai Hospital and the Hanoi Medical University Hospital would work closely with the program to operate on the child patients and help them have healthy hearts like others.

Started in 2008, the program has given heart operation support to 2,900 poor patients, and organised 20 heart check-ups programs across various localities.

In 2016, the program will increase heart check-ups for the prompt treatment of poor children who have congenial heart diseases in different parts of the country./.
