On his personal page, Swedish Ambassador Johan Ndisi shared that he arrived in Vietnam last week.

"Your warm welcome and hospitality reminded me of the deep human bonds that have shaped the Sweden-Vietnam relationship over the past 55 years," said the Ambassador.

Expressing his honor and pride in continuing to build and strengthen the historic and extensive Vietnam - Sweden relationship, Ambassador Johan Ndisi said that it is these human connections, created through decades of cultural exchange, infrastructure development, educational cooperation and increased mutual understanding, that have laid the foundation for the growing trade and economic cooperation between the two countries today.

The Ambassador looks forward to working closely with new friends and colleagues in government, business, academia, media and any other fields in the coming time - to continue strengthening and diversifying the special bilateral relations.

“Together, I believe we can find new directions for cooperation, expand existing initiatives and ensure that the Sweden-Vietnam partnership continues to grow, benefiting not only our two countries and peoples, but also contributing to the prosperity and stability of the global economy,” he exclaimed.

He also expressed his desire to listen to suggestions about places, experiences or events that he should visit to be able to learn and fully immerse himself in the Vietnamese context and culture.

On August 12, Ndisi presented his credentials to General Secretary and President To Lam, officially taking up his duties in Vietnam.

He shared that many large Swedish enterprises have invested in Vietnam and many other Swedish enterprises want to come and explore new investment and business opportunities in various fields. He strives to promote cooperation with Vietnam in innovation and sustainable development, climate change response, green transformation, which are Sweden's strengths.

He pledged to do his best during his term of office, continuing to foster the traditional friendship and good cooperation between Vietnam and Sweden.
