(VNF) - In 2015, the central province of Tay Ninh has planned to give housing support to 1,323 revolutionary contributors, including 581 houses to be built and 742 others to be repaired.

The information was announced by Nguyen Manh Hung, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee during a recent meeting on the province’s socio-economic development tasks.

Accordingly, provincial leaders asked the provincial Department of Construction to work with the Provincial Departments of Labour, War-Invalids and Social Affairs; and Planning and Investment to make a detailed list of beneficiaries for submission to the Provincial People’s Committee for adoption.

In 2014, the province gave housing support to 468 revolutionary contributors; including 298 newly built houses worth VND70 million each and 170 in need of repair.

In addition, the province granted 25,275 medical insurance cards, built 500 houses for poor families and those who lived near the poverty line as well as ethnic minority people across 20 border communes.

Over VND30 billion was also spent supporting the lives of extremely disadvantaged people and elderly lonely people./.
