Over 2,000 Cambodian People Receive Free Medical Examination

More than 830 wounded and sick soldiers, policy beneficiary families and people in Bakong district, Siem Reap province and about 1,200 people in Russey Keo district, Phnom Penh capital of Cambodia, have been examined, given free gifts and medicines by a delegation of Can Tho City's doctors.
This week, a delegation of Hoa Hao-Medic Can Tho General Hospital, Can Tho Gynaecology and Obstetrics Hospital and related units organized medical examination and gift giving for wounded and sick soldiers as well as people of Siem Reap province.
The program was conducted at the invitation of Lieutenant General Hun Manet, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Royal Cambodian Armed Forces (RCAF) and Commander of Royal Cambodian Army; and General Director of the Cambodian Defence Ministry's Defence Services Meas Savon, during the two countries celebrate the 56th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Cambodia (June 24, 1967 - 2023) and the election of the 7th National Assembly in Cambodia.
Specifically, the delegation held medical examination and presented gifts to more than 830 wounded and sick soldiers, policy beneficiary families and people in Bakong district, Siem Reap province.

Head of the delegation, Major General Vu Cao Quan, member of the Directors Board of Hoa Hao-Medic Can Tho General Hospital, said that in the coming time, the hospital will continue to maintain this program, contributing to strengthening the cooperative, friendly and traditional relationship between the two peoples; between Hoa Hao-Medic Can Tho General Hospital with Cambodian localities.
The delegation also visited and worked with leaders of the General Department of Military Services, Cambodian Ministry of National Defense during which the two sides discussed cooperation programs in people's health care.

On behalf of beneficiaries of Siem Reap province, General Director of the Cambodian Defence Ministry's Defence Services Meas Savon sent his thanks and gratitude to Can Tho's medical delegation for such humanitarian program, contributing to supporting medical examination and treatment for soldiers and local people.
Previously, Can Tho's doctors collaborated with Cambodia's Samdech Techo Youth Volunteer Doctors Association (TYDA) to examine, provide free medicine and give gifts to about 1,200 people in Russey Keo district, Phnom Penh.
