Over 3,300 poor children receive assistance during mid-Autumn festival
The National Fund for Vietnamese Children (NFVC) spent VND1.084 billion organising activities for the mid-Autumn festival for 3,340 poor children and orphans across the country.
On September 24th, a program was held at the Dak Nong provincial boarding school in which the NFVC granted 100 scholarships worth VND100 million for disadvantaged pupils. In addition, the fund also presented a package of presents worth VND2 million to help the pupils welcome the mid-Autumn festival.

On the same day, in Hanoi, the fund gave 100 scholarships worth VND2 million each to disadvantaged pupils who are good at studying.
Meanwhile, on September 25th, the fund worked with the Thai Binh Provincial People’s Committee to distribute 150 scholarships worth VND300 million to poor pupils, in order to help them continue their study.
In the Central Highlands, the NFVC in collaboration with the Lam Dong Provincial People’s Committee presented milk, scholarships, gifts and free medical check-ups to children in Da Lat City and Dam Rong district. Accordingly, 100 scholarships worth VND1 million each; 3,300 presents worth VND400 million were given to disadvantaged children. In addition, 600 children in Dam Rong district were provided free medical check-ups by doctors from Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh city and Lam Dong province.
Earlier, the NFVC gave assistance worth VND11 million to the Lao Cai Provincial Social Protection Centre and the same amount of money to the Lai Chau Provincial Social Protection Centre./.
