Vinamilk’s first batch of condensed milk for export to China was produced at Thong Nhat Dairy Factory.

As Vinamilk informed, following its permission to export condensed milk to the Chinese market, for less than two months later, the company has completed the production of the first batch for export to China, while the country is still applying strict control measures for the COVID-19 pandemic.

Along with a US$ 20million milk export contract between Vinamilk and a partner at Gulfood Dubai inked earlier this year, the export of condensed milk to China is really a good sign for Vinamilk itself and Vietnam’s dairy industry in general. At the same time, this also contributes to improve the declining export turnover of Vietnam due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

As representative of Vinamilk said, the trend of importing condensed milk in China has great potential for growth. He demonstrated, the import volume of this item in China has nearly doubled between 2016 and 2019. Meanwhile, condensed milk is one of Vinamilk’s key products, which has been exported since 1997 and made its presence in 30 countries including highly-demanding markets such as USA, Japan and Korea, with total output reaching over 208,000 tons.

Quality control is strictly implemented

Mr. Vo Trung Hieu – Director of Vinamilk International Business shared:

“China is a potential market and Vinamilk has made appropriate plans to develop in this market, such as doubling export volume in the period of 2020-2021. This will be an opportunity for Vinamilk to increase export sales in China, and strive to make Vietnam one of the five largest condense milk exporting countries to China.

“With large production capacity, modern processing technology and application of international quality management standards, Vinamilk is fully able to meet large orders from the most demanding markets in the world. " - Vinamilk representative added.

Many Vinamilk's products are sold at Chinese markets

Currently, 5 out of 13 Vinamilk factories across the country are producing condensed milk products, meeting the needs of domestic and export markets.

As the leading dairy company in the domestic market, in recent years, Vinamilk has continuously expanded its international business activities. Vinamilk's export revenue in 2019 increased by nearly 15% compared to 2018. Up to now, Vinamilk's products have been exported to 53 countries and territories. With many outstanding events on international business, in 2019, Vinamilk won the Asian Export Award.
