Party Central Committee’s Commission for Publicity and Education Appoints New Department Director

On the afternoon of March 10, in Hanoi, a ceremony was held to award the decision to appoint Nguyen Que Lam - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Deputy Director of the General Department of Seas and Islands of Vietnam, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment the position of Director of the Department of External Information and International Cooperation, Party Central Committee’s Commission for Publicity and Education.

At the ceremony, there were the Deputy Head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Publicity and Education Tran Thanh Lam and representatives of leaders of departments and unit, along with representatives of the General Department of Seas and Islands of Vietnam, and of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment.
At the ceremony, Deputy Head Tran Thanh Lam officially appointed the Director position to Nguyen Que Lam.
According to Decision No. 1130-QD/BTGTW, Nguyen Que Lam holds the position of Director of the External Information and International Cooperation Department, from March 10, 2022.
Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Director Tran Thanh Lam congratulated the Department of External Information and International Cooperation on receiving the new leader and congratulated Nguyen Que Lam on his new role.
Deputy Director Tran Thanh Lam believes that Nguyen Que Lam is a staff with excellent training, experienced in many different positions and working units, especially in information and public affairs, people to people diplomacy, sea and island issues, international cooperation... Nguyen Que Lam will always maintain his political qualities, firm bravery so that he can continue to promote, and train and hone professional knowledge and management skills. He hopes the new Director can gather, unite, be fair and objective, together with the Party Committee and leaders of the Department to become the role model of leadership and direct the unit to successfully complete the assigned tasks.
He also suggested that leaders of departments and units in the Coordination Committee supported the newly appointed Director to quickly catch up with the works of the Department.
In response, Nguyen Que Lam expressed his deep gratitude to the leaders and colleagues at the Vietnam Administration of Seas and Islands, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment. He thanks the leaders of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Publicity and Education for their support him.
Director Nguyen Que Lam promised to make efforts to train, strive, work together and unite with the staff and experts in the Department to successfully complete the tasks assigned by the leaders.

From September 2019 to March 10, 2022, Nguyen Que Lam held the position of Deputy Director of the General Department of Seas and Islands of Vietnam, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment.
