Showing his happiness with the development of the hospital’s facilities and equipment, Mr. Thuong praised the hospital’s efforts in treating patients with increasingly high demand for medical check-ups and treatment, making remarkable contributions to increasing the quality of healthcare and protecting people’s health.

He said that as there was a rapid increase in the number of cancer patients, the medical sector and the hospital should pay greater attention to prevention and early detection of cancer in patients.

“The hospital should realise well the national program on cancer prevention and expand models on cancer prevention and early detection of cancer at localities to reduce fatalities caused by cancer,” he said.

Noting that the hospital possessed nearly 1,000 medical staff, with many trained overseas, he expressed his hope that the hospital would continue to train the staff in terms of both their profession and medical ethics.

During the visit, he delivered presents to child cancer patients being treated at the hospital./.
