In India, "Rang Barse Holi" is a special event to mark the end of winter and the beginning of spring. This holiday also has a profound meaning, which is celebrating the victory of good over evil and honoring the bond of relationships.

"Rang Barse Holi" is considered one of the most exciting and colorful events in India. It is celebrated on the full moon day in the Hindu month of Phalguna, which is February or March in Western calendar.

One of the most unique activities on "Rang Barse Holi" is tossing colored powder. The authentic atmosphere of "Rang Barse Holi" is best experienced on the streets. Indians will go out all day to participate in throwing colored powder at each other. Everywhere, the seven colors of the rainbow from colored powder are not only thrown or smeared on faces and bodies but also covered on the road or on the walls. During the festival, there is music being played everywhere for people to dance and sing freely.

In recent years, another fun activity is water guns or water balloons war. They are filled with colored water and the ones who "got hit" will receive blessings. Each color has a different meaning. Red symbolizes love, passion and fertility, blue is the color of Lord Krishna's face, which represents the sky and the ocean. The color yellow gives blessings for knowledge and education, symbolizing happiness and peace.

This year marks the 10th time the married couple Arup Das (India) and Kim Chung (Vietnam) have participated in the "Rang Barse Holi" event in Hanoi.

"The scale of this year's festival is larger than those in previous years, from the location to the participants. Attending this year's festival are not only members of INCHAM Hanoi but also international friends," Kim Chung exclaimed.

On the other hand, Vietnamese volunteer Pham Viet Anh (4th year student at the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam) shared that he learned many interesting lessons in his first time joining the Rang Barse Holi festival.

"It was a day filled with joy for me. I had the opportunity to understand more about Indian culture and the people-to-people relationships of different countries in the world," said Viet Anh.
