(VNF) – A wide range of programs are expected to be carried out by the Ho Chi Minh city Confederation of Labour to care for workers during the 2015 lunar New Year festival.

Accordingly, on February 12th (December 24th of the lunar calendar), it will gather 500 disadvantaged workers’ families, offer them a party and give them cash and presents worth VND800,000 each.

In addition, the confederation will visit and give presents worth VND500,000 to 24 disadvantaged families across 24 districts. In addition, those families who cannot return home for Tet will be granted presents worth VND500,000 each.

On the other hand, the city Confederation of Labour will also visit and give presents to workers who lost jobs due to enterprise downsizing or through immediate and unexpected closure, or those who suffered an accident at work and are in hospital for treatment.

Some 6,000 transport tickets are expected to be handed over to workers to return home and enjoy Tet with their families./.
