The Quang Binh provincial People’s Committee has issued document No 1354/VPUBND-VX changing the time for the Quang Binh Caves Festival 2015.

On July 8^th, the office of the provincial People’s Committee issued document 1245/VPUBND-VX delaying the festival until August 5^th.

However, due to the Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park’s recent recognition as world heritage site for the second time by UNESCO, the provincial People’s Committee decided to combine the planned UNESCO recognition certificate receiving ceremony with the opening of the caves festival and make August the 14th a day of grand celebration.

The festival aims to introduce and promote the culture, tourism, and unique value of the cave system in Quang Binh, help to attract more investors, visitors, local and foreign tourists and contribute to promoting the economic development of the province./.
