The conference was chaired by Ngo Dong Hai, Deputy Head of the Central Committee’s Commission for Information and Education; Bui The Duy, Deputy Minister of Science and Technology; Nguyen Van Thanh, Standing Vice Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council; and Le Van Loi, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics.

The conference also welcomed numerous scientists, domestic and international experts, senior government leaders, representatives from international organizations, and businesses.

The conference emphasized that Vietnam is at a golden opportunity to advance economically and in terms of society, environment, and culture. With new approaches, the opinions and presentations at the conference aimed to collectively contribute to building a solid foundation for the country’s new era of development.

Delegates focused on further clarifying key issues related to national priorities, such as regional connectivity and expanding development spaces through promoting infrastructure construction, including the North-South expressway system. They also discussed key aspects of accelerating the development, and application of science and technology, and fostering innovation in the new development era, in accordance with Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW (dated December 22, 2024) of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation.

A roundtable discussion was held during the scientific conference on “Revolutionary breakthrough orientations in the new era of national development”.

From the perspective of the goals and contents of the new development era, many delegates elaborated on revolutionary and groundbreaking solutions in areas such as institutional development, economic development, digitalization, environmental sustainability, and human development. These efforts aim to ensure Vietnam's steady entry into a new era characterized by rapid and sustainable economic growth.

The open discussion sessions and roundtable discussions during the conference clarified key revolutionary solutions for Vietnam's robust advancement into the era of national development, focusing on economics, human resources, foreign affairs, and environmental protection. Central to these efforts is improving the people's welfare and fostering the Vietnamese people's development.
