Russian food and beverages introduced to Hanoi customers
Russian Gastro Week kicked off in Hanoi on September 21st, bringing together more than 50 leading businesses from Russia that operate in agricultural processing, food and beverages.

Speaking at the opening, Russian Ambassador to Vietnam Konsatin V.Vnukov said that the event aims to introduce high-quality products from Russia to Vietnamese customers, while promoting the cooperation potential between businesses from the two countries.
The two-day event also aims at realising the Vietnam – Russia Free Trade Agreement (FTA), as well as other FTAs between Vietnam and the member countries of the Eurasian Economic Union, which target bringing the two-day trade turnover to USD 10 billion by 2020.
Nguyen Van Suu, Vice Chairman of Hanoi City People’s Committee, highly appreciated the Russian Exports Centre and the Hanoi Television for co-organising the event and called for more regular trade exchanges between Russian and Hanoian businesses.
Statistics show that Vietnam and Russia have enjoyed a bilateral trade turnover of USD 2.4 billion over the first seven months of this year, an annual increase of 18 per cent.
In the first half of 2017, Russia’s export value of agricultural products to Vietnam reached USD 170 million, 9.3 times higher than the same period last year. Russian customers have also shown great interest in Vietnamese products such as tea, coffee and pepper./.
