Saigonchildren raises USD 200,000 for disadvantaged children
On September 15th, Saigon Children’s Charity (Saigonchildren) held their signature event, the Saigon Summer Ball, raising more than USD 200,000 for educational development activities for disadvantaged children across Vietnam.

The event was attended by representatives of Consulate General of England, France, Australia, Japan and over 300 other distinguished guests.
Besides the exihilarating auctions, there is a new scholarship fundraising activity of which proceeds will help provide education for 228 more children. In 2016 and 2017, the fund generated from Saigon Summer Ball was used to build new schools in remote areas in Vietnam.

2018 marks the 10th year of the Saigon Summer Ball, with total funds raised of USD 216,224. The annual event supports Saigonchildren’s work including school building, child development scholarship, vocational training, and special needs education programmes.
Along with Saigon Cyclo Challenge and the Charity Cycle Adventure, the Saigon Summer Ball is one of Saigonchildren’s signature annual events. Since the first event in 2009, the Saigon Summer Ball has been known as a premium charitable event, and has taken place annually, providing an evening of wonderful entertainment and an opportunity to do good. Through 9 years, this event has raised around USD 1 million for disadvantaged children in Vietnam.
Saigon Children’s Charity CIO (Saigonchildren) was founded in 1992 to help disadvantaged Vietnamese children to get an education and a fairer start in life. Saigonchildren works exclusively in Vietnam and is committed to overcoming barriers to education for children, including poverty, geography, knowledge and disability./.
