On 15 September, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Le Minh Hoan, Chairman of the Vietnamese side of the Vietnam-Mongolia Intergovernmental Committee, and the delegation of ministries, sectors and representatives of research institutes and businesses paid a visit to the Experimental School No. 14 named after President Ho Chi Minh in the capital Ulan Bator, Mongolia.

In his speech, Minister Le Minh Hoan highly appreciated the achievements of the school teachers and students in "cultivating people" over the 70-year history of nurturing talents, making significant contributions to the construction and development of a beautiful Mongolia today.

He pledged his continued support for the affection and aspiration of the school teachers and students for the traditional friendship between Vietnam and Mongolia and the great President Ho Chi Minh of Vietnam.

Mr. E.Gungaajav - Principal of Ho Chi Minh School gave a brief report to the Minister and delegation on the general situation as well as the impressive achievements of the school in education during its formation and development, particularly the proud and honorable marks ever since it was named after President Ho Chi Minh in 1980.

Expressing his wish that the Vietnamese side would continue to give due consideration to the school, Principal E.Gungaajav promised to make sustained effort to foster the friendly relationship between the two peoples in general and the honoring of President Ho Chi Minh in Mongolia.

During the visit, representatives of businesses offered gifts and scholarships to the students of the school. Leaders of Ho Chi Minh school promised to put these to good use so as to spread the affection of the Vietnamese people and businesses for the future generations - a bridge of friendship between the two peoples of Mongolia - Vietnam.

On this occasion, the school's teachers and students delivered a performance imbued with Vietnamese cultural identity, arousing the pride of the country on the green steppe.

Experimental School No. 14, where the statue of President Ho Chi Minh is located, is one of the first schools of Ulan Bator and has been twinned with Chu Van An High School, Hanoi.

On 14 May 1980, on the occasion of the 90th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh, the Central Committee of the Mongolian People's Revolutionary Party issued an official decision allowing Experimental School No. 14 to be named after President Ho Chi Minh.
