International Friends Share Impression on Ho Chi Minh Heritage
On the 35th anniversary of UNESCO's resolution to honor President Ho Chi Minh, an international conference themed "Ho Chi Minh Legacy for Humanity" was organized on September 6. On this occasion, Ambassadors and international scholars agreed that Ho Chi Minh’s legacy to humanity remains its value in the present era.
Below are some thoughts shared at the conference.
"His thoughts are an inexhaustible source of knowledge"
According to Cuban Ambassador to Vietnam Orlando Nicolas Hernandez Guillén, the people of Cuba feel honorable to express the affection and eternal solidarity between the two people. Cuba also loves and respects President Ho Chi Minh, the Leader of Vietnam who stood together with Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro and laid the foundation for the close, historic and special brothership between the two countries.

We are very proud and honored to accompany the heroic deeds of Vietnam and President Ho Chi Minh since the beginning of the Cuban revolution. Our friendship has been nurtured in the heat of war, in the most difficult moments of combat. Cuban Revolution and its leaders never doubted the final victory of the Vietnamese people under the command of President Ho Chi Minh.
Today’s independent and unified Vietnam is one of the most solidly and theoretically successful revolutionary causes in contemporary human history. Ho Chi Minh's political thoughts become an inexhaustible source of knowledge for revolutionary and progressive movements in the world.
I want to recall Fidel's words in 1969 when he said about Uncle Ho: "Comrade Ho Chi Minh belongs to a special class of people who consider death the germ of life and the source of eternal encouragement. Therefore, he leads the Vietnamese people to accomplish the victory, and in the end, this victory is really coming."
The Cuban people also felt the pain of the Vietnamese people as their own. We expressed our admiration and affection for the tireless international soldier. We raised our flags as a well-deserved tribute to the leader who never fold the flag in which the Vietnamese people have put their absolute trust”.

The people of the two countries have a long-standing friendship. His Royal Highness Souphanouvong, President Kaysone Phomvihane, and President Ho Chi Minh fostered the special solidarity between Laos and Vietnam to become an exemplary, loyal, pure and rare relationship in the world.

In the flow of history, the deep affection that the Lao people have for President Ho Chi Minh remains intact and eternal. He has become a symbol of solidarity between Vietnam - Lao.
In Laos, there are many relic sites and monuments of President Ho Chi Minh built by the people themselves. One of them is the President Ho Chi Minh memorial site in Xieng Vang, Xieng Muong commune, Nong Bok district, Kham Muon province...
Laotian people have special respect for President Ho Chi Minh. We hang pictures of Lao leaders and President Ho Chi Minh at the most solemn place in the house.
Lao leaders who had the opportunity to meet him all affirmed that President Ho Chi Minh was an exemplary model, striving for the cause of strengthening solidarity and friendship among nations, skillfully and successfully combining patriotism and internationalism.
