According to the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, the number of searches about Vietnam tourism on Google's market trend tracking tool ranked 7th in the world, achieving a growth of 10-25% from mid-March to early June.

Specifically, the top 10 destinations with the highest growth rates in the world include Turkey, Greece, Croatia, India, Italy, Spain, Vietnam, the US, Japan and the UK.

The biggest sources of search about Vietnam's tourism include the US, Japan, Australia, India, Korea, Singapore, UK, Malaysia, Germany and France.

These are all key markets of Vietnam's tourism, representing North America, Western Europe, Northeast Asia and Southeast Asia, according to the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism.

Google's data also shows that the 7 most searched localities by tourists include Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Da Nang, Phu Quoc, Nha Trang and Hoi An.

Search volume for Vietnam tourism this year has increased 3-4 times compared to the same period in 2022, when our country just reopened tourism. This result shows a strong recovery in tourism demand in Vietnam.

Not only growing the number of searches about tourism, according to statistics in the first 5 months of this year, the tourism industry also recorded positive signals. Specifically, Vietnam welcomed about 4.6 million international visitors, equivalent to 57.5% of the year plan. The number of domestic tourists reached 50.5 million arrivals, equivalent to 50% of the year plan.

The tourism industry also implemented solutions to recover and develop such as promotion activities at home and abroad, strengthen international cooperation, develop products, improve service quality, promote technology application and digital transformation to meet requirements in the new situation.

The Vietnam National Administration of Tourism assessed that with good growth momentum and favorable policies in the coming time, the tourism industry is likely to achieve and exceed the set target this year.
