On 31 December 2019, the Government of China reported a cluster of cases of pneumonia of unknown cause in Wuhan City, Hubei Province. A novel coronavirus (2019-nCOV) was identified in January 2020. Since then, cases have been reported in other parts of China, as well as in other countries.
