According to the Vietnamese Embassy in the Republic of Korea (RoK), to date, it has been confirmed that in addition to the dead citizen, born in 2001, another Vietnamese was injured in the accident, Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Le Thi Thu Hang told the ministry’s regular press conference on November 3.
Immediately after receiving the information, the embassy promptly carried out a series of citizen protection measures, such as visiting, and support funeral-related issues according to the wishes of the citizen's family.

The spokesperson took the occasion to send her deepest condolences to the victim's family, VietnamPlus reported.
Units under the ministry and the embassy are continuing to closely monitor the situation, while keeping in regular contact with the authorities and the Vietnamese community in the RoK, and are ready to take necessary measures to protect citizens in case there are more Vietnamese victims.
A service was held at Bucheon Hospital funeral house on October 31 for the deceased Vietnamese.
Minister-Counsellor at the Vietnamese Embassy Nguyen Viet Anh attended the service, while RoK Minister of Foreign Affairs Park Jin sent a wreath. The Korean Foreign Ministry also told the Vietnamese Embassy that its Government is exerting efforts to provide support for all victims of the tragedy.

The stampede, which broke out on the night of October 29, took the lives of 154 people and injured 133 others, as crowds were celebrating Halloween on Itaewon street.
President Nguyen Xuan Phuc on October 30 sent his condolences to President Yoon Suk Yeol of the RoK and bereaved families of the stampede.
Korean Prime Minister Han Duck-soo earlier this week voiced the need to improve the government's measures for crowd management after the deadly Halloween crush, said the RoK’s Yonhap News Agency.

"Voluntary events without organizers are clearly seen as something that needs to be improved in institutional measures," Han told foreign journalists as he briefed them about the government's handling of the disaster.
Han also pointed out institutional measures for crowd management were insufficient for the Halloween crowd crush in Seoul's Itaewon area.
Earlier in the day, Han said the government will actively provide mental health support to help heal the trauma in the wake of the fatal crush.
Han said the Government will come up with measures to ensure the safety of people at large gatherings where there are no organizers.
The Government has called on people to refrain from posting hate comments or sharing disturbing footage and unconfirmed information on the tragedy./.
