Sri Lanka-Vietnam Friendship Concert to held next week
(VNF) - The Embassy of Sri Lanka in Vietnam, the Sun Symphony Orchestra (SSO) in coordination with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam is organising the Sri Lanka-Vietnam Friendship Concert on June 23rd.
This is a unique landmark event showcasing collaboration between classical musicians from both countries to celebrate 70 years of Sri Lanka’s independence day (February 4th, 1948) and 48 years of diplomatic relations between the two countries (1970-2018).
The concert will feature renowned Sri Lankan musicians including Rohan De Silva, Concert Pianist; Tharanga Goonetilleke, Soprano Opera Singer and Dr. Lalanath de Silva, Composer and Conductor as well as renowned Vietnamese Tenor, Nguyen Tuan Anh.
The SSO will be conducted by the renowned Maestro Olivier Ochanine, Principal Conductor and Music Director of the SSO and Dr. Lalanath de Silva.
The event will begin at 7:30 pm at Vietnam National Academy of Music (77 Hao Nam street, Dong Da district, Hanoi).
