Tran Hai Van asked the French National Centre for Cinema (CNC) to accompany and support these film festivals, suitable to the abilities, conditions, and needs of each party.

The Deputy Director expressed his wish for CNC to pay attention, support, and coordinate with the Vietnamese Cultural Center in France to introduce Vietnamese cinema to the French public and European friends. According to Tang Thanh Son, Deputy Director of the Vietnamese Cultural Center in France, the Center currently has a conference room with a capacity of more than 200 seats, to exchange and promote Vietnamese culture in France and Europe through cinema.

Jérémie Kessler, European and International Affairs director of the CNC, praised the development of Vietnam’s domestic film market with many films becoming box office hits and receiving many positive reviews from international film critics.

CNC considers Vietnam an important partner in the region and has been carrying out many cooperation activities such as providing film experts and supporting projects of young Vietnamese filmmakers. Most recently, the film "Cu Li Never Cries" directed by Pham Ngoc Lan and produced by CNC won the Best First Film award at the 2024 Berlin International Film Festival.

The CNC representative also said he was interested in the proposals of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and expressed that he would plan specific cooperation activities in the future. The CNC will seek opportunities to cooperate and promote Vietnamese movies at French film festivals, such as the Cannes Film Festival and the Three Continents Film Festival.
