There were about 500 guests, including representatives from political parties, ministries, government agencies, local authorities from Japan, ambassadors, and diplomatic representatives from foreign embassies in Japan, as well as the Vietnamese community in Japan.
Among the distinguished guests were Saito Tetsuo, President of the Komeito Party in the ruling coalition Saito Tetsuo, Japan's Minister of Justice Suzuki Keisuke, and Japan's Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Miyaji Takuma.

The presence of numerous officials from both central and local governments in Japan, as well as representatives from diplomatic missions in Japan, reflects the high regard for the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan and for Vietnam in general.
In his speech, Ambassador of Vietnam to Japan Pham Quang Hieu noted that Vietnam is entering a new era with sustainable economic growth, a young, energetic population, and a spirit of continuous innovation. With people’s aspiration to successfully build a socialist Vietnam, a prosperous society, a strong nation, and a democratic, just, and civilized society, is gradually becoming a reality.

“In this journey, Vietnam has always received the companionship and support of international friends, with Japan playing a very important role,” said Hieu.
At the ceremony, representatives from political parties, government ministries, agencies, and local authorities in Japan expressed admiration for Vietnam’s strong development and expressed a desire to continue strengthening all-round relations with Vietnam in the future.
According to Saito Tetsuo, President of the Komeito Party in the current ruling coalition of Japan, the two countries witnessed many important milestones in recent years.

“In 2023, the two countries celebrated 50 years of establishing diplomatic relations, with an important milestone being the elevation of Vietnam-Japan relations to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership for Peace and Prosperity in Asia and the World. This will certainly lead to a strong promotion of bilateral relations in politics, economics, security, culture, and other areas,” he said.

Earlier this year, as the Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism of Japan, he visited Vietnam and exchanged a Memorandum of Cooperation with the Minister of Transport of Vietnam Nguyen Van Thang.
“I witnessed firsthand the growth of Vietnam, the efforts of the Vietnamese people, and Vietnam’s remarkable development. I express my admiration for what Vietnam has achieved,” said Saito.
