Summer Camp for Vietnamese Youth, Students in Europe: Illuminating The Future World
From August 24-27, the Vietnam Youth Student Summer Camp in Europe is named "Shine as you are - LUMOS" underway in Paris, France.
In particular, this year's event, themed Future World, promises to bring campers to a new and exciting entertainment space and experience the world's fascinating innovation journey. Coming to the 2023 event in France, the organizing committee has recorded nearly 200 registered campers from 10 European countries especially with friends from the US.

The Summer Camp is an event that is always awaited every summer for the Vietnamese youth community in Europe. The event received a lot of attention from Vietnamese associations in Europe to create a playground to connect Vietnamese youth.
The camp takes place in four days and three nights in Paris with continuous activities. The event is sponsored by the Embassy of Vietnam in France, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union, the Central Vietnam Student Association, the Vietnamese Cultural Center in France, and the Vietnamese Association in France. The Vietnam Youth-Student Association in France is an association that always leads the movements for youth and students in Europe. After nearly 20 years of establishment, with about 20,000 members living, studying, and working in Paris and 20 local branches, the association has really been the only legal representative, working for the benefit of the Vietnamese youth community in France in particular and in Europe in general. The association is a unit that is always trusted by European countries to propose to host summer camps.

On this occasion, Deputy Foreign Minister, Chairwoman of the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese Le Thi Thu Hang sent a letter of congratulations and commendation to the youth student movement in Europe in general and in France in particular.
The secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the chairman of the Vietnam Youth Union, and the domestic delegation attended and delivered the opening speech, sending a message to the community of young people and intellectual students to study and work in the host country. at and at the same time always towards the homeland.
Nguyen Ngoc Luong, chairman of the Vietnam Youth Union, acknowledged the contributions made by young Vietnamese people in Europe, affirming that young Vietnamese people living and working abroad are always an integral part of the Vietnam Youth Union.
He expressed his hope that young Vietnamese people abroad will continue to heighten their solidarity and cultivate friendly ties between the nation and other countries whilst making significant contributions to the country’s overall socio-economic development.
Within the framework of the summer camp, the organizing committee hosts an exhibition on the islands of Truong Sa (Spratly) and Hoang Sa (Paracel) so that young people can have a correct view and understand more about the sovereignty of the sea and islands of their homeland. In addition, a workshop themed 'Renewable energy - Sustainable development and Artificial Intelligence,' also will be held.
During the closing ceremony, the Vietnam Youth Union of Students in France will present the rotating flag to the Vietnamese Student Association in Germany - the host of the 2024 Summer Camp.
Summer Camp for Vietnamese Students in Europe is an annual event organized by the Vietnamese Youth Students in Europe, aims to connect young Vietnamese people abroad, and strengthen cultural ties, whilst boosting sporting and scientific exchanges among young people. The first summer camp was held in the Czech Republic under the name 'Meet Prague 2007', then in 2018 was held in the Russian Federation. Since 2015, the All-Europe Youth Summer Camp has officially become an annual event and is organized alternately in Germany - Sividuc in 2015, France - Lumos in 2016, Czech Republic - Vietheart in 2017, Hungary - Duna 2018, Netherlands - VYS 2019, Czech Republic - Vietheart in 2022. |
