Summer fun on Da Nang’s beaches

Local residents and visitors will be able to enjoy some of the world’s famous movies while relaxing on the beaches of Da Nang city on June 16^th-20^th.

From 6pm to 11pm, many famous films such as Kong: Skull Island and Owl and the Sparrow are scheduled to be screened at the beach area in front of Holiday Beach in the Son Tra district of Da Nang city.

The program ‘Da Nang-Summer Destination 2018’ will take place from June 16^th-20^th with perse activities like a Fun Beach Music Festival with impressive performances by famous DJs, rappers and saxophonists, and bartenders.

Visitors and residents can also take in the excitement of kite festivals, flashmob bikini performance, coracle paddling contest, and street carnivals.

The number of tourists arriving to central Da Nang City by air jumped 40 per cent to more than 1 million during the first half of this year, according to the municipal Department of Tourism.

The Department reported on June 13^th that the number of visitors to the city during the period is estimated at more than 4 million, a year-on-year rise of nearly 30 per cent.

Foreign arrivals to Da Nang were mainly from north-east Asia (the Republic of Korea, China and Japan) flying on direct air routes to the central city. So far, there have been 183 international flights to Da Nang airport this year, 76 more than the corresponding period of last year./.
