Eight foreign non-governmental organizations (NGOs) pledged nearly VND169 billion in aid to the central province of Quang Ngai in the first half of this year, heard a recent conference held by the provincial Department of Foreign Affairs.

On the morning of November 2, at the headquarters of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, on behalf of the Vietnam - Japan Friendship Association, Mr. Bui Khac Son, the former Vice President of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations and the Standing Vice Chairman of the Vietnam - Japan Friendship Association gave VND 50 million (US$2156) to support flood-stricken people in central Vietnam.

According to the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), to support Vietnam cope with the COVID-19 epidemic, whilst being based on the request of assistance from partner agencies, JICA has decided to continue deploying aid packages worth JPY 80 million (USD 735.436).
