A US Navy warship sailed by Spratly Islands on February 17 in a freedom of navigation operation, marking the latest move by Washington to challenge Beijing’s territorial claims in the South China Sea (Bien Dong Sea).

France, Germany and the UK said in a note verbale addressed to the UN that all maritime claims in the South China Sea (Bien Dong Sea) should be made and peacefully resolved in accordance with the principles and rules of UNCLOS.
