Vietnam’s consistent policy supports nuclear disarmament, towards the total elimination of the weapons, as well as the country commits to seriously fulfilling its obligations under relevant treaties, including the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT), the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons (TPNW), the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty (CTBT), and the Southeast Asia Nuclear Weapon-Free Zone (SEANWFZ).

The Vietnamese diplomat further said that Vietnam had fulfilled its notification obligation under Article 2 of the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons (TPNW) after the treaty officially came into force.

Phung Trang Linh, a Vietnamese student of the Foreign Trade University, was honored to be one of four youth speakers at a United Nations conference on disarmament on August 12.
