Vietnam was home to just 1,600 start-ups at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, but that total has jumped to more than 3,000 now, including four unicorns, as specified by the recently released Emerging Giants in Asia Pacific report.

Vietnam has been implemented its development priorities unevenly over the past 35 years, and five institutional reforms are required to better implementation, the World Bank (WB) report says.
