In the past two years, there have been no warnings in any shipments of Vietnamese rice exported to the EU. Vietnamese rice has been well-received by the European market.

Trung An Hi-Tech Farming Joint Stock Company based in the Mekong Delta city of Can Tho is gearing up for the first batch of rice to export to EU which will be received zero percent tax.

According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT), Vietnam has seen modest earnings from rice exports to the EU market due to high import duties and restrictions caused by limited rice quotas provided by the EU.
