Some government achievements average people-to-people diplomacy achieved in recent years include the total value of foreign non-aid aid disbursed on US$228.3 million/year, 13 high-ranking delegations of Party and State leaders visiting and working in other countries, improving the efficiency of peace solidarity, solidarity and friendship work, and multilateral people-to-people activities contributing to the promotion and protection of national-ethnic groups .

In a recent meeting session on June 9, Vice President - General Secretary of the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations (VUFO) Phan Anh Son and Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA) Principal Director Kelly McKeague agreed to further discuss cooperation in dealing with war aftermath.

In recent meeting session on Nov 16, the Vice President - General Secretary of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations (VUFO) Phan Anh Son and the President and CEO of Winrock International (WI) (USA) Rodney Ferguson agreed to further discuss strengthening the relationship between Vietnam and foreign NGOs.
