The "Good Deeds from the Heart" program was organized to celebrate the birthday of the late Thai King Bhumibol Adulyadej, Thailand's National Day, and Father's Day on December 5. Notable activities included a cycling parade and blood donation activities involving the Thai community in the Consulate area and Vietnamese residents.
In her opening remarks, Wiraka Moodhitaporn, Consulate General of Thailand in Ho Chi Minh City, highlighted the significance of the charity program. This initiative, established according to the wishes of the reigning Thai King Vajiralongkorn, reflects his commitment to the well-being of the people. The King consistently promotes the value of "giving" through activities that benefit society, the community, and the nation.
“We organize this event to provide opportunities for the Thai community in Ho Chi Minh City and surrounding provinces, along with our Vietnamese friends, to perform good deeds, create merit, and express our gratitude to Vietnam for its hospitality and support. This program also underscores the strong relationship between Thailand and Vietnam,” said Wiraka Moodhitaporn.
