Also attending the ceremony were Urawadee Sriphiromya, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Thailand to Vietnam; Pham Van Nghiem, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Thai Binh Province; representatives of the Thailand - Vietnam Friendship Association, along with many leaders of units and a large number of local people.

The Kathina ceremony is part of Thailand's activities in many countries, on the occasion of the 72nd birthday of the King of Thailand. The ceremony in Thai Binh was presided over by Dusit Manapan, Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand and solemnly organized according to Theravada Buddhist rituals. Monks and Buddhists of Phuc Minh Pagoda performed the blessing ceremony for the Thai Royal delegation and delegates.
Speaking at the ceremony, Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand Dusit Manapan emphasized that the Kathina ceremon,y at Phuc Minh Pagoda not only has religious significance but is also an opportunity to strengthen people-to-people exchange between Thailand and Vietnam, two countries with similar Buddhist cultures and beliefs. He said that this event is the first step in expanding local cooperation, especially in the fields of trade, investment and people-to-people exchange.
Vice Chairman of the Thai Binh Provincial People's Committee Pham Van Nghiem expressed his delight at the positive developments in Vietnam-Thailand relations in recent times. He hoped that in the coming time, the two countries would continue to promote cooperation in investment, trade, and cultural exchange, contributing to the local socio-economic development.

The Kathina ceremony, which takes place annually after the three-month Rains Retreat of monks, is a long-standing tradition of Theravada Buddhism, honoring the core values of Buddhism. This is the 17th Kathina ceremony organized by the King of Thailand in Vietnam, demonstrating the spirit of cultural exchange and connecting the people of the two countries.
