Theatres stage new plays to entertain Hanoian children during summer
The Tuoi Tre (Youth) Theatre recently introduced three new plays, entitled ‘Nang Tien Ca’ (The Little Mermaid), ‘Niem Vui Cua Dam Ga Nha’ (The Joy of Chickens), and ‘Can Bep Dai Chien’ (Kitchen Clash), to entertain children this summer.

Developed from the fairy tale of the same name by Danish author Hans Christian Andersen, ‘The Little Mermaid’ play invites children to a beautiful ocean world with popular characters: the little mermaid, King Triton, the red Jamaican crab Sebastian, and sea witch Morgana.
Meanwhile, ‘The Joy of Chickens’ tells the stories of a group of chickens who unite to overcome their difficulties. The last play, ‘Kitchen Class’ features the confrontations between a brave little cat and the sly rats in the kitchen.
In a same effort to bring joy to children during summer, the Star Galaxy Theatre has launched a theatre adaption of Peter and the Wolf – a “symphonic fairy tale for children” by Russian composer Sergei Prokofiev.
Choreographed by Meritorious Artist Tran Ly Ly and directed by Meritorious Artist Nguyen Hong Phong, the act provides a lesson of courage and solidarity, while helping children to learn more about symphonies.
Also on the occasion, the Vietnam Central Circus showcased a new show combining a wide range of circus acts and comedy, bringing children to the world of their childhood friends including Doraemon, Panda Bear, and the Power Rangers, among others./.
