Affirming position of youth
Arriving early to join the festivities, Le Minh Chau, a third-year International Relations student at Hanoi University said "The festival has provided us with a platform to showcase our youth and vitality while connecting with friends from both home and abroad.
Besides that, I feel that the festival has demonstrated the important role of the youth in the country's development and international integration. Youth is the key and will be the future direction in preserving and developing culture."
As a representative of Vietnam to receive the award from the Organizing Committee, Nguyen Phuong Anh (a student at Hanoi University) felt extremely honored and proud to wear the ao dai, Vietnam's traditional costume, standing among representatives of other countries.
According to Phuong Anh, this year's event was held during a significant period for the capital city - the 70th anniversary of Hanoi's Liberation and the 25th anniversary of Hanoi being honored as a "City for Peace." Hanoi holds an extremely important position in the process of deep economic and cultural integration with other countries in the world. Notably, this also shows that in the continuous development of the city, there is a great participation, and interaction of all young people, as well as international friends.
"Through this meaningful event, the younger generation - the backbone of the country, will enhance their knowledge, and skills. These young talents will have the chance to showcase their potential and become key players in our country's pursuit of a proactive foreign policy," Phuong Anh said.
Young people spread culture
With a message of respecting cultural diversity, the International Youth Festival has promoted cultural exchange and understanding among young people from different countries, enhancing their cultural knowledge and vision. The youthful energy of young people has enlivened the program and affirmed Hanoi's image as a "safe and friendly" city for friends across the country and around the world.
"The atmosphere here is simply electrifying," said Nguyen Thi Ngoc Linh, a Hanoi University student, who arrived early at the festival. "The food stalls and cultural experience booths have left a lasting impression on me. Each booth not only reflects the creativity of the students but also showcases the unique cultural heritage of different countries. This festival provides an excellent platform for young people to celebrate the cultures of their countries and to promote Vietnam's rich cultural traditions."
