Thirty ‘five-star’ carriages to be used for Tet holiday
A ceremony was recently held in Hanoi by the Vietnam Railway Corporation (VNR) in Hanoi receive 30 ‘five-star’ carriages in order to serve passengers during the upcoming Tet (Lunar New Year) holiday.

The modern carriages, which were jointly manufactured by mechanical engineering companies, are expected to be used for the trains linking the north and the south as well as connecting Hanoi with Hue, Vinh city (Nghe An province) and Lao Cai province.
The carriages were built with high technology and high-grad materials, bringing comfort to passengers.
The bed compartments are equipped with mattresses made of padded cotton from the Republic of Korea (RoK) as well as reading lights with USB chargers; meanwhile the seats at the soft-seat carriages are very comfortable.
In addition, the carriages have spacious luggage racks and air conditioners will be placed at the position of each passenger.
The toilets have air conditioners and the waste treatment system was built under the environmental sanitation standards. The entrance platforms of the carriages were designed at the convenience of passengers in order to get in and out.
In order to meet high demand of travel during the Tet holiday, the VNR has also built and put into operation 60 other modern carriages./.
