As many as 350 children under 18 years old received free heart scanning at 2 primary schools in Cai Be Ward on November 24. A large number of families took their children to get the free examination and consultancy from doctors about cardiovascular health.

Of the 350 children who came, doctors diagnosed 3 cases of congenital heart defects that need heart surgeries. Heartbeat Vietnam will follow the cases of these children to support them soon in the near future.

Founded in 2006, VinaCapital Foundation (VCF) aims to empower the children and youth of Vietnam, by providing opportunities for growth and improvement through health and education programs. The work of VCF touches the lives of millions of Vietnamese in 63 provinces every year.

VCF’s grassroots medical programs include Heartbeat Vietnam and Rural Outreach Clinics - designed to locate diseased at risk and disadvantaged children in even the remotest areas and provide access to quality healthcare.

Heartbeat Vietnam has provided heart operations since 2006 for children across Vietnam, as well as helping to improve cardiac and pediatric care in Vietnam via a telemedicine training series, equipment donations, and support for province-level pediatric outreach centers./.
