Talking about the tourism attraction strategy, leaders of Binh Dinh said that the province is an attractive destination, with beautiful and poetic natural landscapes, a rich historical and cultural tradition, many cultural and historical relics, and friendly people. These are special factors for Binh Dinh to attract investment.

Nguyen Tuan Thanh stressed: "To develop Binh Dinh's tourism, first of all, we are interested in investing in infrastructure, tourist destinations, and historical and cultural relics. Second is investing in facilities such as restaurants and hotels to meet exploitation requirements. Third is human resources. Although Binh Dinh started investing in tourism late, it pays great attention from the kitchen, bar, room, and desk to tour guide management. It has strengthened inspection and testing of food safety and hygiene issues, price issues, and propaganda to raise people's awareness of tourism. Binh Dinh has recently developed but it has almost no or very little false information about solicitation or prices. We need to pay attention to those issues to ensure that we can develop tourism into the province's key economic sector."

Deputy Director of Binh Dinh Department of Tourism Nguyen Thi Kim Trung added: Binh Dinh is determined to develop tourism into a key economic sector by 2025. The province has a long-term plan and strategy. International sports are the province's signature product and highlight in 2024 and in years to come. Binh Dinh will develop specific tourism products such as sea and island tourism, ecotourism-resort, cultural-spiritual tourism, community tourism, and working tourism with conferences, and seminars. It will also develop scientific discovery tourism, together with travel for fun, entertainment, and sports to attract more tourists.

The information session with domestic and foreign press agencies on the socio-economic situation, investment attraction, and the culture, sports, and tourism week of Binh Dinh took place on the morning of March 23.

Previously, speaking at the opening of the Binh Dinh Sports, Culture and Tourism Week 2024, named "Amazing Binh Dinh Fest 2024", Pham Anh Tuan, Chairman of the People's Committee of Binh Dinh emphasized: "Binh Dinh's tourism sector has made a breakthrough development and gradually become a key economic sector of the province. The image of Binh Dinh tourism is constantly being supplemented with new, brilliant colors, and outstanding achievements, becoming an appealing destination, and attracting more domestic and international tourists.

Binh Dinh has attracted investment of trillions of VND to construct the infrastructure of 4- and 5-star tourist areas and destinations, embellish and develop the value of tourism resources, and at the same time, build transport infrastructure to serve tourism. Tourism propaganda, introduction, promotion, investment attraction, and connection development with other provinces and cities will also be promoted."

In 2023, Binh Dinh signed cooperation agreements on tourism development with localities, airlines, and major travel companies such as Vietnam Airlines, Bamboo Airways, Vietravel, Saigontourist Group, Hanoi Tourist Corporation, Hanoi Tourism Association. Many unique and attractive programs and festivals have been organized such as the Tourism Festival themed "Quy Nhon - Colorful, seaside paradise", Miss World Vietnam Final, VnExpress Marathon, International Sailing Race and Quy Nhon Stand Up Paddle Board.

Thanks to that, the Binh Dinh tourism industry reached a new stage of development. It has welcomed over five million visitors, an increase of 21.4% over the same period in 2022. Tourism revenue reached about VND 16,500 billion, an increase of 25%. This result surpassed the province's peak before the Covid-19 pandemic. In 2024, Binh Dinh tourism strives to welcome over 5.5 million visitors and attract tourism revenue of VND 18,500 billion.

Through the international professional motorboat and watercraft racing tournament and a series of other events, Binh Dinh wants to introduce Quy Nhon - Binh Dinh to other countries.

In the province's general tourism picture, Quy Nhon has affirmed its brand on Vietnam's tourism map. Quy Nhon is ranked among the destinations with the strongest growth in the national tourism industry. It is one of three tourist cities in Vietnam to receive the "ASEAN Clean Tourism City 2024" award. Quy Nhon has received this award twice. The coastal city of Quy Nhon is continuously honored by the world's leading travel websites as the leading destination in Southeast Asia; Top 7 safe places worth visiting after the pandemic; Top 10 destinations for vacation; Top 20 best "backpacking" destinations in the world.

With a lot of potential for continuous growth, bringing new experiences to tourists, and opportunities for investors, Quy Nhon is continuing to innovate, make breakthroughs, and get closer to its goal of becoming a high-ranked tourist destination in Asia and the Southern Cultural Center of the North Central and Central Coast regions, defined in the Resolution No. 26 of the Politburo.
