Trains to be added during Tet 2015

Aiming to provide more travel services during the Lunar New year 2015 (Tet holiday), the Vietnam Railway Corporation (VRC) will organise additional pairs of trains for central and southern routes.

Aiming to provide more travel services during the Lunar New year 2015 (Tet holiday), the Vietnam Railway Corporation (VRC) will organise additional pairs of trains for central and southern routes.

Specifically, an additional pair of SQ5/SQ6 trains will run from Quang Ngai to Sai Gon and vice versa. SQ5 train will start from Quang Ngai between February 7th and 14thwhile SQ6 train will depart at Sai Gon from February 6th to 13th.

A pair of SE29/SE30 trains will connect Hanoi to Sai Gon and vice versa. SE29 will begin from Hanoi at 12:40 pm on February 4th and 5th while the return will run from Sai Gon at 05:00 pm on February 14th and 15th.

VRC has announced it suspended the operation of SP7 train from Hanoi to Lao Cai from January 25th and SP8 between Lao Cai and Hanoi from January 26th.

Passengers who had tickets for the SP7 and SP8 trains will be moved to SP1 and SP2 trains. With these, the railway sector now sells tickets for SP1/2, SP3/4, LC3/4 trains on Hanoi – Lao Cai route./.
