VFF leader extends greetings on Buddha’s birthday
Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Central Committee Tran Thanh Man on May 3rd paid a visit to Most Venerable Thich Thanh Sam, Deputy Patriarch of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) on the occasion of the Buddha’s 2561st birthday.

The VFF Vice President extended best wishes to Most Venerable Thich Thanh Sam, who is also head of the VBS Executive Council of the Bac Ninh province, and local dignitaries and followers on the important festival for Buddhists.
Man praised the contributions that Buddhist dignitaries and followers have made to the election of deputies to the 14th National Assembly and all-level People's Councils last year.
The Buddhist Sangha in Bac Ninh also actively responded to activities launched by the VFF, including building new-style rural areas, offering help for children to go to school, and taking care of the poor and the disadvantaged.
He expressed his hope that dignitaries and followers in Bac Ninh will uphold the tradition of the VBS and continue participating in the movements launched by VFF under the motto of “Religion – Nation – Socialism”./.
