Nhan told participants that Vietnam just celebrated the 44^th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30), which was partly made possible by assistance from the Soviet Union, adding the event brings the two nations closer and pledged that Ho Chi Minh City and Russia will further tighten ties between the two peoples.

Vietnamese people will join hands with their Russian friends to tighten and further develop the fruitful relations between the two countries, he added.
