Vietnam Airlines offers support for passengers with disabilities
(VNF) - National flag carrier Vietnam Airlines announced on October 12th that it plans to provide disabled passengers with free mobility aid services to ease their travel experience.
The airline will add 80 wheelchairs, along with experienced staff, to its operations starting October 15th, in a bid to ensure elevated service for disabled flyers.
Specifically, deaf, blind, physically challenged, and elderly passengers will be provided with free assistance in the airline’s terminals and on their flights. Request for assistance services must be made at least 24 hours before departure.
The carrier also offers priority boarding to passengers with physical challenges.

National flag carrier accepts for carriage of accompanied/unaccompanied blind, deaf or with problems walking if passengers is healthy and is not required medical clearance.
Service dogs will be accepted on the flight free of charge and passengers traveling with a guiding dog must register the animal as checked baggage, the airline said on its website.
To create more opportunities for the disabled to travel by air, Vietnam Airlines also runs a 15 per cent discount policy for economy tickets on some domestic flights./.
