Vietnam and Greece Beef Up Bilateral Cooperation

Leaders of Greek political parties and authorities approve that they attach great importance to the policy of strengthening cooperation with Vietnam, and want to promote cooperation in the fields of economy, trade and tourism.

Vietnam and Greece Beef Up Bilateral Cooperation

Following the working visit to Switzerland, Phan Dinh Trac, politburo member, secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee and chairman of its Commission for Internal Affairs led the Vietnamese delegation to visit and work in Greece from July 2 to July 6 .

Phan Dinh Trac congratulated Greece on successfully holding the last National Assembly election as well as the achievements that the Government and people of Greece achieved in the process of economic recovery and development, especially after the Covid-19, and the energy crisis.

Phan Dinh Trac confirms that the Party, State and people of Vietnam attach great importance to the good traditional relationship between the two countries.

He thanked the Greek people for their support for Vietnam in the past resistance war for national independence, as well as the cause of national construction and defense today.

He also thanked Greece for being one of the first member states of the European Union (EU) to ratify the Vietnam-EU Investment Protection Agreement (EVIPA).

He expressed his delight at the positive development of relations between the two countries, the significant increase in two-way trade in recent years, and assessed that the two sides still have plenty of room and potential to promote cooperation.

Phan Dinh Trac also shared information on the situation and achievements of socio-economic development that Vietnam achieved after nearly 40 years of Doi Moi (renewal process).

He mentioned Vietnam's foreign policy, goals, and national development strategy in line with the 13th Party Congress, the results of Vietnam's anti-corruption work in recent years.

Leaders of political parties and authorities of Greece welcome and appreciate the working visit of the delegation.

They were informed about the Greek situation as well as the political, economic and social achievements that Greece had in recent years, especially the successful organization of the National Assembly elections.

Greece emphasizes the good traditional relationship, the affection and support that their people have always given to Vietnam. They appreciate the solidarity and respect that the Vietnamese Party, State and people have for the Greek country and people.

The Greek delegation congratulated Vietnam on its development achievements, assessed Vietnam as a model of success, expressed confidence in Vietnam's bright development prospects.

Leaders of Greek political parties and authorities that they attach great importance to the policy of strengthening cooperation with Vietnam.

They want to promote cooperation in the fields of economy, trade, tourism, shipping, and receiving Vietnamese workers to work in Greece.

The two sides exchanged in-depth experiences, guidelines, policies and measures in anti-corruption, and agreed to promote cooperation between relevant agencies of Vietnam and Greece in this field.

They also exchanged views on international issues of common concern, shared a principled stance on settling peacefully by peaceful means, in compliance with international law, and the United Nations Charter .

Talking to the Vietnamese Embassy in Greece, Phan Dinh Trac promotes the efforts of the staff of the representative agency.

He also suggested that they continue to strive to successfully complete their assigned tasks, contribute to enhancing the bilateral friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Greece.
