Vietnam And Kazakhstan Strengthen Educational Cooperation
|Round table exchange on Vietnam-Kazakhstan education cooperation.
At Eurasian National University named Gumilyov in the capital Astana, a roundtable exchange on Vietnam-Kazakhstan educational cooperation took place on October 24. The event was organized by the Embassy of Vietnam in Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Science, the Kazakhstan University, and the Eurasian National University.
|Vu Thi Lan Anh, vice-rector of Hanoi Law University spoke at the event.
Speaking at the exchange, Vu Thi Lan Anh, vice-rector of Hanoi Law University said that the university wanted to promote international cooperation with foreign higher education institutions, including Kazakhstan.
The school proposed a number of cooperation measures with Eurasian National University such as increasing student and lecturer exchange, and opening short-term law courses for students from both countries.
They organized specialized seminars, published articles, and researched law journals of each school.
The two sides considered signing a Memorandum of Cooperation in 2024.

Kurrmangaliyeva Zhana, vice-rector of Eurasian National University, welcomed the delegation of Hanoi Law University to visit Kazakhstan.
She said that Eurasian National University is currently one of Kazakhstan's leading training institutions with 28 thousand students studying different majors, including law. The school has cooperative relationships with more than 460 foreign universities, having thousands of students from more than 25 countries around the world.
Eurasian National University has cooperative relationships with a number of Vietnamese universities such as Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, and Hanoi University of Science and Technology.
The school supported the cooperation initiatives of Hanoi Law University, considering these as effective measures to promote educational cooperation between the two countries.
At the event, delegates discussed the current status of educational cooperation between Vietnam and Kazakhstan.
They made a number of recommendations to promote higher education cooperation between the two countries, such as improving the understanding of the young generation of Vietnam and Kazakhstan about the potential, strengths, and training programs of the two countries' higher education institutions through cultural, educational exchanges, and educational fairs.
Delegates also proposed programs to take advantage of government scholarship opportunities, sent students to learn each other's languages, and opened Vietnamese classes.
The two countries are urgently promoting many areas of cooperation such as economics, investment, tourism, and culture and humanities.
