In recent years, Yunnan province is building a green food brand and has outstanding achievements. Therefore, Vietnam hopes that the province will soon share experiences and support capacity building in agricultural and rural development for the provinces of Lao Cai, Ha Giang, Lai Chau, and Dien Bien.
With joint efforts, the two sides need to select a number of specific agricultural programs to bring practical benefits to the people and contribute to sustainable rural development.
At the conference, leaders of Ha Giang Department of Agriculture and Rural Development highlighted the strengths of each region for agricultural development, focusing on crops with advantages, including tea, oranges, vegetables, and medicinal herbs.
Ha Giang proposed Yunnan province continue to concretize the contents signed in the joint statement between the Yunnan Academy of Agricultural Sciences and the four provinces.
The province hopes that the Academy will support the transfer of the most advanced science and technology in tea production and processing to people, businesses, and cooperatives. The province also wants Yunnan province to introduce businesses with investment capacity to build raw material areas for the locality.
