(VNF) - The Vietnam-China Friendship Association of Vinh Phuc province held its second congress for the 2017-2022 term on December 1^st, where 28 members of the executive board were elected.

Cao Thi Thu Ha, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee was elected as Chairwoman of the Association.

At the congress, Nguyen Van Manh, Standing Vice Chairman of the Party Provincial Committee's Organization Commission, President of Vietnam-China Friendship Association of Vinh Phuc province said that with the motto of "active, flexible, creative and effective", the Association has effectively implemented various friendship and cooperation activities of the people in the past term. To develop the friendly relations between Vietnam and China in general and the friendship and cohesion between the people in Vinh Phuc province and some provinces in China in particular. In particular, the Association held visit congratulating the Chinese enterprises in the province on the occasion of China National Day; organising for some members to participate in exchange programs in Liuzhou, Guangxi and Zhejiang provinces etc.; organising visits and give gifts to poor people and children in difficult circumstances.

At the same time, the Association proactively participated in the communication activities on the two countries’ ties, improving the quality of its organisations, and actively participating in the propaganda to constantly enhance mutual trust, understanding and friendship between Vinh Phuc province and the Chinese people.

At the ceremony, Chen Dehai, Nguyen Huy Quang, Vice President of Vinh Phuc Union of Friendship Organisations congratulated achievements of the provincial Vietnam-China Friendship Association over the last term.

He also highly appreciated the Association for their support on promoting people-to-people diplomacy and organising exchange programs, contributing to the inheritance and development of traditional friendship between Vietnam and China.

He expressed his hope that in the coming time, the Association will continue to boost measures to develop the Vietnam – China relations, including the strengthening of friendship exchanges, proactively participating in the communication activities on the two countries’ ties, improving the quality of its organisations, and expanding exchange activities in association with enhancing the relations in the fields, while actively participating in the propaganda to constantly enhance mutual trust, understanding and friendship between Vinh Phuc and the Chinese people./.
