Vietnam Culture Week set to kick off in Cambodia this month
The Vietnamese Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MCST) will coordinate with the Cambodian Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts to organize a Vietnamese Culture Week in Phnom Penh and Battambang from September 10-15.
The event is part of the culture and fine art cooperation plan between the two countries for the 2018-2022 period and celebrates the 73rd anniversary of Vietnam’s National Day.
During the week, a number of special art performances showcasing Vietnamese cultural identities will be presented by artists from the Vietnam National Opera and Ballet, Vietnam National Academy of Music and Vietnam Circus Federation.
Deputy Minister of the MCST, Le Khanh Hai, will lead a Vietnamese delegation to visit Cambodia on the occasion.
Cultural programs and visitor exchanges have been regularly organized over recent years, contributing to fostering ties of solidarity and friendship and the mutual understanding between the two countries./.
