The award recognizes MoMo's impressive achievements in promoting environmental protection activities, solutions that bring positive impacts to society and management strategies that ensure sustainable values for the economy.

The event took place within the framework of the ASOCIO Digital Summit 2023 under the chairmanship of the Korean Ministry of Science and ICT (MSIT) and the Asia-Oceania Computing Industry Organization (ASOCIO).

Aware of the environmental challenges that Vietnam is facing, MoMo called for contributions and support for environmental projects in Vietnam, planting 35,750 more trees and expanding the forest area by 24.6 hectares (as of October 2023), to reduce environmental degradation and biodiversity loss.

Nguyen Ba Diep, co-founder of MoMo said "I am moved and proud when MoMo received the ASOCIO ESG award. This is a valuable encouragement for the efforts that the MoMo team made in promoting the importance of ESG in business operations.

BIDV receives ASOCIO Digital Transformation Award

BIDV is the only representative of Vietnam to be awarded the Digital Transformation Award by the Asia-Oceania Computing Industry Organization (ASOCIO).

As the oldest commercial bank in Vietnam, BIDV currently identifies digital transformation as one of the three pillars of development in the period 2022-2025, with a vision to become the "leading financial institution in Southeast Asia, with the best digital platform in Vietnam."

From 2022, BIDV achieved many outstanding achievements in the field of digital transformation, especially the launch of digital products designed specifically for different customers such as BIDV Private Banking, BIDV SmartBanking, BIDV iBank, BIDV Smart Kids.

By September 30, the number of customers using BIDV's digital channels reached nearly 12.5 million individual customers. (accounting for nearly 70% of individual customers, an increase of 3.5 million customers over the same period in 2022), and 132,299 organizational customers (accounting for more than 50% of organizational customers, an increase of more than 29,000 customers over the same period in 2022). The number of financial transactions of individual customers on digital channels reached nearly 90%.
