Despite performing as a sideline activity, Ionah will be the most anticipated show at the festival. It is regarded by international audiences as Vietnam’s "Cirque Du Soleil".
Besides K-pop music, festival organisers also aim to introduce trot music considered the original form of Korean pop music to Vietnamese audiences. The trot music will be performed by veteran singer Yeop who is known in Korea for his first single entitled Chan Chan Chan.
The artists will perform at 7pm on the festival’s opening night.
According to a representative from Korean Community in Hanoi, apart from enjoying the typical cuisines from both nations like Tteokbokki, Gimbap, Kimchi, Vietnamese kebab rice noodles, “pho”, and spring roll… are also available.
Especially, the organizing board set up a safe and special Kid Zone for visiting children.
This annual festival has become a “spiritual food” expected by Korean wave (hallyu) fans, as well as an attractive place for consumers to taste both Korean and Vietnamese agricultural products via over 100 registered kiosks. Recreational activities will include folk games, outdoor films and K-pop flashmob. Korean drama fans will be able to take photos with their beloved character figures, wearing the traditional Hanbok costume.
Attractive prizes will be raffled, including a car, motorcycle, LCD TV and more.
