Vietnam Mourns Victims of Terrorist Attack in Moscow
A delegation of the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations (VUFO) led by its President Phan Anh Son on March 25 visited at the Russian Embassy in Hanoi and offered condolences following the deadly terrorist attack at the Crocus City Hall.

President Phan Anh Son sent his deepest condolences to the Government and people of Russia, affirming that Vietnam strongly condemns terrorist attacks.
“The Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations is extremely shocked and saddened to learn of the bloody, inhumane terrorist attack that occurred at the Crocus City Hall, on the outskirts of Moscow, on the evening of March 22, 2024, claiming the lives of more than 160 innocent people and injuring nearly 200 people.
On behalf of the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations, I would like to sincerely send to the Government and people of Russia my deepest condolences. We also would like to share the pain of families of the victims of the terrorist attack.
We strongly condemn these barbaric acts of terrorism and stand with the Russian people in these difficult times.
We believe that the Government and people of Russia will soon overcome this pain to unite to build and develop Russia," President Phan Anh Son wrote in the condolence book.
On the same day, Permanent Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Minh Vu; Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ta Quang Dong also visited the embassy and signed the condolence book for the victims of the terrorist shooting in Russia.

The Vietnam-Russian Federation Friendship Association, many businesses, and organizations and hundreds of Vietnamese people and Vietnamese-Russians also came to lay flowers and offer condolences at the Russian Embassy.
Sharing after writing the condolence book, Standing Vice President of the Vietnam-Russian Federation Friendship Association Trinh Quoc Khanh emphasized, "Russia's history shows that the more difficult it is, the more united its people are. I hope and believe that the Russian people under the leadership of President Vladimir Putin will quickly overcome difficulties and stabilize their lives."
Russian Ambassador to Vietnam Gennady Bezdetko said that immediately after receiving information about the terrorist attack, the Russian side received many words of condolences from Vietnam. He expressed his appreciation for the sharing of the Vietnamese people, affirming that it shows affection, and solidarity and is a testament to the comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and Russia.
From March 25 to 27, the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Vietnam will open a condolence book for guests to pay their respects to the victims of the terrorist attack that occurred on March 22 at Crocus City Hall. At the same time, condolence books were also opened at the Consulate General headquarters in Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang city. Previously, on March 24, many Vietnamese people came to place flowers, candles and children's toys in front of the Embassy and Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Vietnam. |
